Wizard Trees and the RS11 Breeding Project

The RS11 strain, in particular, has been a focus of Wizard Trees’ efforts. In late 2018 or early 2019, Wizard Trees’ founder, Scott, conducted a pheno hunt of 100 Rainbow Sherbert seeds provided by DEO Farms. Out of this batch, the RS11 phenotype was selected and subsequently brought to market through a three-way collaboration with DEO Farms and Doja Exclusive.

The RS11 strain has since gained significant popularity and recognition, with Wizard Trees taking home several awards for it, including first place for best overall strain at the Zalympics competition and third place at the High Times Cup. 

Recognizing the potential of the RS11 strain, Wizard Trees has now embarked on a breeding project to continue the legacy of this iconic California cultivar. The company is working on a variety of RS11 crosses, including RS54 x RS11 and Zkittlez x RS11, with plans to release these new genetics as seeds for growers to cultivate in early 2024.
